Jardin was commissioned to design and build the external works and landscaping for the Akwa Ibom Secretariat complex in 2004. Work on the services, drainage, roads and footpaths began in 2005 with final completion, including landscape works in 2006. The construction and commissioning of the service buildings were included in the contract and although Jardin designed and installed the electrical network, the generators were to be provided later under a separate contract.
